I am running as part of Team Palestine to raise funds for the Gaza Pediatric Mental Health Initiative, a project of the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF).
It's impossible to overstate the trauma to which children in Gaza have been subjected by successive Israeli onslaughts. Please help me support this program that was organized after Israel's "Operation Protective Edge" in 2014: 55 days of bombing on the sealed-off Gaza Strip by land, sea, and air.
Since then, the initiative has continued to provide a range of treatment and support for kids in Gaza who have lived through still more attacks, including an 11-day military offensive in May 2021. You may remember that in that attack, at least 11 of the children killed were part of a trauma care program. That kind of horror makes it clear that programs like PCRF's Gaza Pediatric Mental Health Initiative remain essential, even as Gazans and Palestinians continue to resist the occupation.
