A disabled woman myself, I have watched the war continue on, horrified and powerless, all the while knowing that disabled Palestinians are among those suffering the most. War is a mass disabling event and nearly all of the survivors will now have to live with physical, neurological, or psychological illness or disabilities for the rest of their lives. I'm rolling in this 5K with my wheelchair in solidarity with these Palestinian children, in the hopes that my money raised will go on to support their immediate care and long-term recovery.
