At least 270 civilians, including 68 innocent children have been killed and over more than 1,900 people were injured during the 11-day Israeli bombardment of Gaza that led to the displacement of over 120.000 innocent civilians.
For 11-days Israel continued to launch indiscriminate and deliberate airstrikes on civilians and residential areas in Gaza, where entire buildings have collapsed and in some cases, entire families were killed and buried beneath the rubble.
Roads to two main hospitals in Gaza were bombed and destroyed to restrict access to emergency services, e.g. ambulances and medical response teams were held up at checkpoints by Israeli forces and prevented from reaching the sick and wounded.
The airstrikes completely destroyed over more than 450 buildings in Gaza, including, six hospitals, nine healthcare centres, and a water desalination plant, supplying around 250,000 Palestinians with clean drinking water, as well as a tower that housed media outlets including the Al Jazeera network, and Associated Press (AP) . Leaving thousands of people in Gaza without essential water, sanitation and electricity infrastructure.
Global Human Rights Defence strongly condemns all ongoing violence, excessive violations of human rights, and excessive use of force against thousands of innocent civilians. GHRD urges both parties to end this escalation and deadly cycle of violence in Gaza and Israel.

The one million children of Gaza live in a continuous humanitarian crisis, with no clean water, little electricity, poor health services, and food insecurity. For 30 years, PCRF has been on the ground providing a variety of direct humanitarian aid programs for thousands of sick and injured children in the enclave. These include sending hundreds of injured and sick kids abroad for free medical care, sponsoring hundreds of international volunteer doctors and nurses to go there each year to treat children and train local doctors, building Gaza's first and only pediatric oncology department, and running several different humanitarian programs and projects on the ground.
