The little Sunbirds of Gaza tells the story of two Palestinian children, Reem and Isa, who find solace and strength in each other after both losing limbs. Despite their physical scars and the challenges they face both children possess resilient spirits and unwavering faith. As they navigate the struggles of adjusting to their new lives they form a special bond through their shared experiences. They find comfort in each other’s company drawing strength from mutual understanding and empathy. Through the eyes of these two remarkable children readers learn of the unique challenges for children with limb difference face and the strength that lies in each of us when we empower one another to overcome obstacles with courage and compassion.

Since 2019, PCRF has sponsored Gaza's sole humanitarian program for children with limb loss. This initiative offers medical care, new prosthetic limbs, rehabilitation, mental health support, social services, and caregiver training.
