Ala's Mount Everest Challenge for Syria
Guys, I could give you the facts, the news, the hard info, but you've all seen news, images, youtube videos. Children in Syria have a higher chance of being hit by shrapnel than being hit with a basketball.
The Syrian Relief Fund does what it can to raise money to give these children access to medical treatment, which sometimes costs less than USD 1, yes, ONE DOLLAR. Syria is not Dubai, not everyone lives a comfortable lifestyle. Syria is war torn, and some children have the misfortune of being stuck in a dangerous environment.
I'm setting a personal goal to go up to Island Peak on Mount Everest, to endure some rough conditions, physical strain, hunger, cold, and probably some sort of flu. I've decided to this for three reasons, to get closer to nature, to feel more alive, and to find an indirect approach to help. I could have gone down to Syria again to help, but my access is limited, instead, I've met the Relief Fund and I know that whatever donations I can give them will be ten times the value.
Just think, downgrade your Grande Latte to a "Normal" Size and you'll save enough money to help a child. You won't even notice it, but that child will.

ABOUT Syrian Children Relief Project
Over the past few years, over 100,000 civilians have been killed in Syria, many of them innocent children. Many more have been injured and required specialized medical care that they cannot get in their war-torn country. The PCRF has launched a special campaign to identify these children and get them the medical care that they need to recover from their injuries. The PCRF is working to help any child in the Middle East, regardless of nationality or religion, get the best care possible, and hope that you can support this campaign to heal the lives of these poor children.
