Hello all!

I'm excited to announce that this year I will be running the 2022 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, my second ever marathon, for the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF)! I am so excited to run alongside Team Palestine in support of PCRF, whose mission is to provide medical and humanitarian relief collectively and individually to Arab children throughout the Levant, regardless of their nationality, politics or religion. Palestinians deserve to live lives of freedom and dignity, instead of suffering under Israeli apartheid and occupation. In light of this, I am grateful to be able to support this organization through my marathon entry, and hope you will join me!

This year the money raised will go directly to PCRF’s Gaza Pediatric Mental Health Initiative - which supports the humanitarian needs of tens of thousands of Gaza’s children who have been psychologically traumatized from direct exposure to violence. In 2014, the entire population of Gaza, which is 50% children, was subjected to 55 days of bombardment from land, sea, and air, resulting in thousands of dead and injured civilians. Since then, attacks on Palestine have continued and hundreds more have been killed by occupation forces. Since 2015, PCRF has been providing counseling and therapy to children in Gaza to help them overcome PTSD, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. Donations will directly support PCRF's programs in Gaza to provide children the kind of care that they need and deserve.

My goal is to raise $1,750 for PCRF, and every donation makes a difference! If unable to donate, I encourage you to learn more about the situation in and history of Palestine, share this page, and advocate for justice for Palestine.
