Hi All!

I am very excited to annouce that this year I will be running the 2022 Bank of American Chicago Marathon for the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF)! It is my honor to be a part of Team Palestine in support of PCRF, whose mission is to provide medical and humanitarian relief collectively and individually to Arab children throughout the Levant, regardless of their nationality, politics or religion. Since 1992, the PCRF has helped over 2,000 sick and injured children receive free medical care, as well as sponsored hundreds of volunteer medical teams from all over the world to treat tens of thousands of sick and injured youths in local hospitals. 

This year's marathon proceeds will go towards the Gaza Pediatric Mental Health Initiative, which was organized as an early response to the war in 2014. During the war, the entire population of Gaza, which is 50% children, was subjected to 55 days of bombardment from land, sea, and air, resulting in thousands of dead and injured civilians. The PCRF initiated a field study in which they found thousands of children suffering from high forms of stress and anxiety as a result of witnessing the violence firsthand. Since 2015, PCRF has been providing counseling and therapy to children in Gaza to help them overcome PTSD, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. Your donation will go directly in support of this critical project.
