Hi everyone! I am excited to announce that on October 9, 2022 I will be running my 2nd Chicago Marathon for the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF)!!! I am thrilled to be running alongside Team Palestine again in support of providing free medical care to children in the Middle East. This year's marathon proceeds go toward the Gaza Pediatric Mental Health Initiative!

Gaza Pediatric Mental Health Initiative 

A PCRF field report shows that there are “thousands of children [in Gaza] suffering from high forms of stress and anxiety as a result of witnessing violence firsthand.” Gaza, which is over 50% children, repeatedly experiences bombardment from occupation forces, leaving young children with long-lasting trauma. These donations would directly support mental health interventions for children in dire need.

About the PCRF

PCRF has a special place in my heart for the quality of care they provide for children in dire need of medical attention. The PCRF is certified non-profit, non-political organization dedicated to providing specialized treatment to children throughout the Middle East, as well as training doctors and finding ways to create long-term solutions to improve healthcare in the ME (see more on pcrf.net and https://www.charitynavigator.org/ein/931057665).

It isn't about religion or politics, it's about giving children access to a basic right that they are currently denied: adequate healthcare. 

My fundraising goal for this marathon is $1,750!

There is no donation too small; every dollar helps in getting a child needed medical care.
