Greetings everyone,

I am very excited and eager to run my first ever marathon on February 27th. Running is a passion I have had since I was young, and participating in my high school cross country team taught me many valuable, translatable skills such as perseverance, leadership, and thankfulness. Nevertheless, I know that these qualities are better exemplified by the millions of people enduring hardships in Palestine and the Middle East.

I am running to raise funds for Palestine Children Relief Fund (PCRF), an organization committed to provide free medical care and humanitarian relief to the injured and sick children in the Middle East. More specifically, the money will go to support the Gaza Amputee Project, an initiative which helps children in Gaza suffering from congenital or tramatic limb amputations. I am very thankful for the ability to stand on two feet and perform daily tasks with two hands, and I would love for everyone to experience this wonderful blessing. We are a group of students from Georgia Tech Muslim Student Association & Arab Student Organization and we are very excited to announce that we will be running in the Atlanta Publix Race weekend (Feb 26 & 27) to raise awareness and funds for Palestine Children Relief Fund (PCRF) to provide medical and humanitarian relief to children throughout the Levant, regardless of their nationality, politics, or religion.

 
For the Atlanta Publix Marathon weekend, our team will specifically be raising funds for the Gaza Amputee Project (learn more about the project here). Help us support this project and show our care for children in Gaza suffering from congenital or traumatic limb amputations.

For many of us, this is our first race or marathon. We've spent the last few months training, encouraging, and supporting each other towards our running goals and we hope that you will encourage and support us in this endeavor for the well-being of the children of Palestine.
