Dear Friends and Family,
I'm excited to share that I will be running the Chicago Marathon on October 8th, 2023. It's hard to believe that it's been a decade since I ran my first marathon (spoiler alert, this photo is 10 years old). Back then, I swore I'd never do this again, but my tenacity and passion for running has persisted through the years, experiencing its fair share of highs and lows. Along the way, I've been blessed with many things, including a life partner, a wonderful son, and not to mention a few extra pounds (come on, marathon, you're supposed to help me with this). Now, a decade later, I'm eager to cross that finish line again – only this time with an intention to help my brothers and sisters in Palestine.
I'm calling on you to help support PCRF's mission to provide free medical and humanitarian aid to Palestinian children in need. #TeamPalestine for Chicago's 2023 Marathon is raising funds to build a Catheter Lab System at the European Gaza Hospital, South Gaza, with three key goals: improving care for cardiac patients, enhancing the cardiac department, and facilitating cardiac missions.
My goal is to raise $2,000 – but even if I walk away with $20, I'm happy. Please give what you can or support in other ways like sharing, marching, or campaigning to help us move forward for #TeamPalestine's cause. We're committed to making a difference, and your support is invaluable. Thank you!
