I have seen the success of the Ice water Challenge all over the United states and outside. it is to raise awareness for ALS disease (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), now as much as i respect that and like the idea, i think it got plenty of attention and it is time for us to pay attention to something important to us Arabs.
I want us to show the world what is happening in Gaza, i want everyone to notice Gaza I want those who don't know to know, and those who know to spread the message to those who don't.
Here is my challenge,
1- Follow Gaza news, Google Gaza, watch YouTube videos about what is happening in Gaza, read facts about what Gaza is and what Gaza is capable VS the accusations that are being pointed towards it, Then ask yourself, who is the bad guy now?
The media doesn't give you the full picture, but it does blur the picture for you and makes you believe that the bad guy is the good guy.
2- Make a donation, I have created a donation link with a goal of $1,000, it may seem little but i am not sure what the turnout will be since there are no celebrities doing this, we tend to follow what big names are doing. Donate $100, $5 $10 or even $1, just please donate!
The money will be going to Zakat Foundation's "Heal and rebuild Gaza" once all donations are made I will write out the check and send it to them, i am hoping everyone of you participates.
3- Here it comes! THE ICE WATER CHALLENGE! to spread the awareness in a "cool catchy way" I decided to dump a bucket of Ice Water on myself! I want you to do the same! and Challenge your friends! challenge those who don't know the truth, challenge those who will ask you questions!
Tell them "i challenge you to the #PayAttentionToGaza Challenge, you have 24 hours to dump the ice water on yourself or make a donation! and provide them with the link!
