Hello, friends and family. 

I'm sure you are all aware, or have at least heard, of the current state of distress Palestine is in. It is disheartening to see the graphic, bloody images displayed across various media outlets with very little regard for humanity. My heart hurts knowing such tragedy is actively occurring, and I feel as if it is our moral obligation to raise awareness and contribute in any way, shape, or form to those in need. We cannot allow another community to be silenced or opressed. We can post to twitter and facebook, but let’s be real— that’s pseudo-activism at best. 

To do our part, we must step further than social media platforms or simply discussing with friends. We must engage in changes that, upon fruition, will end such cyclical injustice. One way to do this is by financially supporting organizations that have the appropriate resources and accessibility to fight oppressive regimes, such as the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. 

The PCRF was established in 1991 during the first Palestinian uprising to identify and provide free medical care for sick and injured children who could not be treated in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. They have since expanded into one of the most active and respected nonprofit humanitarian relief organizations in the Middle East, saving the lives of thousands of children in Palestine and beyond. They do so by sending volunteers abroad and sponsoring medical missions/other humanitarian relief projects to alleviate the suffering of poor and sick children on the ground.
