Dear PCRF-Boston friends and supporters, 

On behalf of the children of Palestine and the Middles East we would like to wish you a blessed Ramadan and ask that all your good deeds be accepted in this holy month and always.

We would like to remind you of the less fortunate in Palestine and the Middle East, specially the children.

While we in the Boston area are enjoying our early summer, the conflict in Syria continues unabated and many more are killed and injured including children who are suffering severe injuries and are unable to obtain adequate care locally. In Palestine the occupation and hostilities continue, resulting in many new injuries, which the local health care system cannot adequately handle due to a lack in materials and expertise.

The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund continues to be the main organization in the Middle East arranging free medical care for sick and injured children in so many ways who cannot be treated in their home countries regardless or race, religion, or ethnic background. 

In the year 2015 and up to date and most importantly with your help, we were able to:

Send 174 Medical missions to Palestine and Lebanon, these missions screened and treated 5,460 children. 

Send 71 injured or sick children abroad for free care that was otherwise not available to them locally.

Complete a large scale project to expand a pediatric ICU unit in Ramallah to enable the building of the first and only public pediatric cardiac surgery program  for children who are born with congenital heart disease.

Start the construction of the first and only pediatric cancer and hematology department in Gaza. Pouring cement columns is underway.

Help fund the building of a kidney dialysis department in the Badawi Refugee camp in     northern Lebanon.

Provide hundreds of children in Gaza with mental health support and help treatment.

Provide 192 orphans and war injured children with sponsorship programs which provide monthly humanitarian needs.

Provide 280 children with One-time sponsorship projects for medicine, medical devices, surgery and other humanitarian aid.

Provide 196 children with tutoring programs through the Rachel Corrie Gaza Children’s Educational Initiative.

PCRF is continuing all these programs as this letter of appeal for your help is written.

Please help us continue these tremendous programs and help us put a smile on the face of every child we help, it is only through your help and donations that we can continue to do this. Envelope is included with stamp.

The PCRF-Boston chapter will not hold a Gala this year to raise funds for the PCRF, this will be the main fundraising program for 2016.

To celebrate Eid Alfitr and to thank you for your donations and continued support, the PCRF-Boston chapter is inviting you to a family style picnic on July 10th at the Arsenal Mall Park in Watertown. (Details to follow).

The PCRF is pleased to announce the launching of a new project to build Gaza’s first and only public pediatric oncology/hematology department at the Pediatric Specialized Hospital in Gaza City.  Hundreds of children in Gaza suffer from many different forms of cancer and suffer not only from the disease, but the restrictions on their movement for treatment outside of Gaza due to the Israeli and Egyptian-imposed sieges, as well as a lack of medicine and services within Gaza.  Our goal is to emulate the building of the Huda Al Masri Pediatric Cancer Dept. in Beit Jala Hospital, which we built and opened in April, 2013, and is now a center of excellence for children in the West Bank.   This is a completely privately funded project that will not only save the lives of children in Gaza and reduce their hardship and the suffering of their families, but also save millions of dollars a year for the Ministry of Health, who are referring patients outside for care that should be available locally.  We ask you to join in this effort to support our effort to show love and compassion for our children in Gaza.
