Thank you for your support of the Palestine Children's Relief Fund!

I am participating in the Chicago Marathon for the third year in a row and each time have run on behalf of the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF). PCRF is a non-political, non-religious, non-profit organization delivering and administering lifesaving care and medical relief to children throughout Gaza. It is the region’s largest provider of free, specialized surgical care and also administers aid to Palestinian refugee centers throughout the Middle East.

PCRF has operated for over thirty years and is a trusted provider and administator of life-saving care in the region.  PCRF has sent thousands of sick and injured children for free medical care, as well as sponsored hundreds of volunteer medical teams from all over the world to treat tens of thousands of sick and injured children in local hospitals. PCRF also has built two pediatric cancer departments in Palestine and has several more major programs and projects taking place to help support the development of a sustainable health-care system there.

Since October 2023, PCRF has still operated extensively in the Gaza Strip and provided urgent relief including, among a host of other initiatives, the following:

• Established two field hospitals - one in Southern Gaza and one in Central Gaza.
• Evacuated and organized the medical treatment of nearly 100 children and their surviving families in other countries including the United States, Spain, Italy, Belgium and Qatar.
• Delivered over thousands of metric tons of fruits and vegetables to families.
• Delivered baby formula, nutrition intervention packages and gallons of clean water to families. 
• Administered hearing aids and sensory equipment to children.
• Administered over $30 Million in critical and life-saving relief.

If running 26.2 miles three years in a row did not make it clear, I am a fervent supportor of PCRF and the incredible work it has done for decades. I have been involved with PCRF for a number of years and I currently serve as President of its Milwaukee Chapter.
