To mark the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims around the world fast—abstaining from food and water—from sunrise until sunset everyday. This practice is intended to cultivate empathy, compassion, and charity for those facing challenges in meeting their basic needs around the world. 

This year, during Ramadan, the CPS MSA is particularly attuned to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where many are facing famine. This coming Wednesday, the MSA invites students to join in a solidarity fast to build empathy with civilians in Gaza. 

That evening, we invite our community (including families!) to gather with us at sunset to break our fast with a communal meal known as Iftar. Everyone is welcome, whether you have been fasting or not.

In the spirit of compassion, this community meal will serve as a fundraiser for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. Your generous contributions will directly support the delivery of food and medical supplies to children in Gaza.

We welcome donations from those unable to attend.
