To experience Hope is a very unique and empowering feeling. Team Hope aims to give hope, not only to “The Courageous 2” climbing the highest single standing mountain in the world, but to thousands of other children in dire need of support, financial and non financial, and most importantly Hope for a brighter future, health, an education, a home, a living. As individuals or organizations we can’t give everything and tackle every challenge, but we can do something instead of sitting back. The medical aid provided by the PCRF is fundamental to the being of the children supported by this campaign. For many following this campaign and seeing “The Courageous 2” rising to 5,895m altitude the inspiration and Hope will impact and hopefully change their lives.

You want to know why I am doing this? I am an entrepreneur. I always have believed in entrepreneurship as a way to social justice. Creating jobs creates justice, gives people a future, provides families with an income, children with an education and medical support. In August 2013 I climbed Mt Kilimanjaro for the first time. People told me the experience will be life changing. I did not know what to expect. What I experienced was truly unique and life changing. I guess my perspectives have changed too. I experienced all the beauties of nature, the bonding of people and the feeling of a better more meaningful future, and yes, Hope. A strong feeling! I feel it is now time to give back and what better way to give back to children, innocent children in dire need. None of those children requiring medical help is at fault for what has happened to them and what societies are doing to them, robbing them of a normal life and a peaceful future. This campaign seeks to support those children, irrespective of nationality, religion, race or political views. It is children that we are supporting and I HOPE I can count on your support! I will be climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in January 2014 together with The Couragous 2. I will do my best to support them in their endeavour to reach the top, to raise funds for the PCRF, and give those children and many thousands more Hope. My personal pledge is that I will donate the required funds to the ceiling of the campaing goal if we do not reach the required amount.  I hope you will support me and thank you in advance in supporting this campaign, whether in form of awareness, ideas for fundraising, or donations.

On January 17, 2014, for the first time in history, three injured Arab children will climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, to raise awareness and support for the plight of injured and sick children in Palestine and Syria. Mohammed, Mutussam and Yasmeen have all lost their limbs during their childhood and were treated abroad through the support of hundreds of volunteers in the PCRF. These injured teens are now training hard to climb Mt. Kiliimanjaro with a team of volunteers led by Suzanne Al-Houby, the first Arab & Palestinian woman to summit Everest and to reach the top of Kilimanjaro six times. The PCRF is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization with over 22 years of experience in providing cost-free medical care for sick and injured kids in the Middle East that isn't available to them in their homeland. Since being established in 1991, the PCRF has sent over 1000 needy children abroad for donated care, while treating thousands more in their home country.
