Gaza Orphan Sponsorship Program: Hani
PCRF-UIUC is eager to sponsor an orphan from Gaza during the Spring Semester of 2023. We are raising awareness and funds to provide aid for a child through PCRF.A 7-year-old Hani was born in May 2016, only 5 months after his father's death. He lives with his sister and three brothers in the Alsaftawi district in North Gaza and their mom is their sole caretaker although she suffers from hearing loss and visual impairment. Hani attends school and he is currently in first grade. Hani’s father who died from cancer on Dec 3, 2015, was the breadwinner of his family and after he passed away, his family was left alone.Currently, the family is living in a place that isn't suitable for any human being to live in. They live in one room that does not have windows or furniture, with the bathroom and kitchen being not completely separated from the living and sleeping space. The house lacks privacy and safety and it is unsuitable for healthy living. |
