OP-ED is a Canadian Winnipeg-based protest rock band founded by Palestinian refugee Tarek Abdel Aziz. Alongside fellow Winnipeg musicians Jay Nowicki, Rusty Robot, Art Anthony, and Tunisian drummer Haithem Jegham, OP-ED creates powerful, defiant music that confronts injustice and challenges mainstream narratives. Through their debut album, In The Storm, OP-ED amplifies the voices of those often silenced, bringing stories from Palestine to the forefront with unapologetically bold lyrics and driving rock anthems.
Aside from this open donation link, OP-ED will headline a benefit concert on March 28, 2025 at the West End Cultural Centre in Winnipeg. This special event, OP-ED & Friends for Gaza’s Children, brings together local talents from Winnipeg’s music community to stand in support of children in Gaza, with all proceeds going to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF).
Our fundraising goal is to provide critical support to Gaza’s children, who continue to suffer the devastating impacts of conflict and occupation. Funds raised will help provide urgent medical care, psychological support, and resources to give Gaza’s youth a fighting chance for a better future.
Join us in making a difference. With your support, we can stand in solidarity with Gaza’s children, amplify their voices, and offer real, tangible support when it’s needed most.
