Join me on my Ride for Gaza, a bike ride that will be 133 km In Bucharest (approximately the shape and circumference of Gaza). I will do this as often as I can. Hopefully once a month to raise money for as long as I can for the children of Palestine who are forgotten victims, suffering endless violence and trauma. No matter what your personal opinions are on the conflict I think everyone can agree that children are innocent and deserve the right to be cared for. Support my ride and maybe ride with me in solidarity either here in Romania or in your city.
I want to show the outline of Gaza on my Strava ride map traced on top of the city I live into really bring home the scale of the destruction. 60% - 70% of buildings and neighbourhoods are gone. Barely any working medical facilities are available for a population of what was 2 million people and now the face starvation due to the witholding of aid and supplies, with the onset of winter. To put it in persepective the population of Bucharest where I live is 1.8 million people imagine if 60-70% of the urban landscape here was wasteland and the people had nowhere to go no way to get out. That is Gaza now that is the nightmare for the roughly 47.3% of the population who are under 18. They are are not fighters or terrorists they are scared children. One of the youngest populations in the world sufferring a cruel and inhuman punishment.

The route is pictured below. I estimate anywhere from 6-8 hours to complete depending on your fitness level.
I will be at the start at 6.30am departing at 7am on Saturday 26th of October.
The meeting point is Tineretului Parcul Lumea Copiilor (The Childrens World Park) in the central circle for Help me smash this months goal and I will make this ride every month rain or shine to raise money for medical aid to Gaza and Palestinian children.
